I am so happy to be blogging today. We have big news to share!
1. Jeremy took his state boards test on Wednesday, April 30 in Lee’s Summit, MO. For those of you who don’t know, my husband is finishing his final semester in graduate school and will earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy on May 24. The Missouri licensing exam happens once a year in July, but he can test in other states and transfer to Missouri. Arkansas has an April test date so he decided to test early through Arkansas. He has spent the past 3 years in school and the past few months studying hard. We are happy to report that he PASSED THE BOARDS!
He is relieved, shocked, and can’t believe he’s done! The official score report should become available in the next few days. That will make it more real to him… so he says!
So what’s next… First, graduation! We’ll embark on the job search ASAP. I’m not sure how long the process will take to transfer to MO, but once you’ve passed the test you’ve passed and the rest is just paperwork.
Then, we’ll working on finding an apartment/duplex/house and moving out of my parents. Woo hoo!
2. Our friends Melodie & Ricky had their second baby yesterday! Little Trystan Maxwell King Rooker was born just after 4 p.m. on 5/7. He weighed in at 7 lbs. 7 oz. and is 19 3/4″ long. A pretty big guy for coming 3 weeks early. I held him when he was about an hour old. He’s sweet, alert, and is already making lots of noise. Melodie did great and was acting like her normal self right after delivering. I plan to stop by the hospital after work to hang out with the family of 4. Here’s a picture from yesterday.
3. Everybody comes home tomorrow! In this case “everybody” refers to my husband and brother. Jeremy is finally done with rotations. He’s packing up the Jeep and heading home. Also, my brother is coming home for the summer. He’s packing up his Jeep and will be home in the afternoon. We’re going to have a packed house! I love it.
Stay tuned for my Weight Watchers update post tomorrow. I’ve been working hard this week and have my fingers crossed that I’ll hit the 15-pound landmark.
